I love this game, the look and feel, and I grew up in Italy playing this game. However, it’s obvious when the AI says “OK you won the last two, Im winning this one” and it gives itself all the aces plus all the best cards and you can just tell there is nothing you can do once it’s decided it’s time for it to win. Frustrating. But good game with great potential

After the last update of iScopa the orientation of the screen has changed from vertical view to horizontal which i find very annoying. It should give the option to the player to choose how to view the screen. I definitely don't like the way it's now and wish it could change.

I cannot get enough of this game.

The UI is great. Unfortunately, the AI cheats. It's very frustrating and ruins the experience. I wish the author would learn how to program properly.

CAN YOU PLEASE RELEASE A VERSION OF THE GAME IN WHICH THE AI DOESN'T CHEAT?! It's really frustrating, the app is so well made and yet it makes you nervous because the AI cheats. This cheating goes to unbeliavable extents! No need to give examples on what it does, just try to play and if you know the game you'll see what I mean; it is laughable! It gets to the point I can predict what cards it's going to play in most occasions, simply because the AI decides what cards to play out of ALL the ones left in the deck instead of the 3 cards in its hand, which "should" be given randomly! This is a discriminating aspect in rating this game 1 star or 5.

Love it. Can play this Italian game all day!

This started out as a great game, and the developer has added in every single thing I could have wanted that was missing at the begining (statistics, matches, alternate rules sets). A very addictave game to play for five minutes or an hour. Very entertaining.

Such a pity. This little detail forces me to give the game 1 star instead of 5. The program would definitely deserves 5 stars, because it's awesome! But if you have been playing the game since childhood and know it very well it takes a few rounds against the computer to understand that the AI totally cheats. Not only it cheats, it decides in the first place which games you are going to win. Scopa should be based on giving RANDOM cards to both opponents from a SHUFFLED deck, and then it's up to them, their memory, and their knowledge of probability to play more or less well. Here there is nothing random in the way the AI serves the cards to itself. If you could please fix this absurdity, remove the difficulty option (which makes no sense in scopa) and make it a TRUE RANDOM game I would give it 5 stars, hands down! Good value anyway.

I have had this app for a long time and I love the game, but lately it always crashes when I try to get to the settings... I hope it fixes!!!! Can't play anymore....

Whenever you try to click on the settings button! I wasted $3 ! You gotta be kidding me...

I'm from Sicily, carini. I grew up playing scopa in the streets of carini, with friends and just sometimes looking at old people playing it was fun, so anyway it's been my life my culture and my childhood. I was expecting a little bit more for 4 bucks. It doesn't give u an option to save before u get out. No ranking, u can't play with other people. As far as I'm concerned I don't need more sounds, but saving the game and ranking is needed, it's a must. Lower the price too so more people will buy it I doubt a game that only Italians and few other know we'll pay 4 bucks for it, but that's just me. Hope I see once again ranking soon and the option to play, again, other players online if it's possible one day, till then 3 stars it's all u get from me.

I love this app! I find myself playing all the time. It had been a while since I last played scopa, but I was able to pick it up again easily with the app. Definitely worth the money! Fun card game!

I've purchased a couple Scopa apps. This is OK, but Scopacards is much better. You can play with others live over the internet.

This is a game that is reflective of the real thing. Good graphics and worth the money.

there are too many problems with this game. 2.99 is alot to pay for a game I can never finish. It constantly freezes and boots me out. The game overlays the screens sometimes. Im not sure if its just mine that does this. I want to give this APP a high rating, but the bugs are too much.

Like many others, I had never heard of Scopa before. Now I'm addicted. It doesn't take too long to figure it out, and I played it until my battery died yesterday. I even ordered a set of "real" Scopa cards to play it with my wife offline. Nicely written, works great. If you like card games, try this - you'll get addicted also!

I am Sicilian and I have tons of Sicilian playing cards around but this game is perfect for on the go or if I want to play and I don't have a deck of cards in my pocket. I  it. 

I first learned of this game while I was playing a "mystery game" I had downloaded from a popular game site. This card game was a "mini game (challenge)" that had to be beaten to continue in the aforementioned comp game. I thought it was a made up game, but decided to research it anyways. I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE IT ACTUALLY EXSITED,not just as a card game, BUT IT WAS A DOWNLOADABLE APP FOR MY iPHONE!!! (the all CAPS represents excitement, not yelling)  I  this game!!  for the graphics, ease of play, etc... Definitely !!!! Hooray !!!!!

I am of Italian decent (Calabria and Piedmonte), and I love embracing my heritage and culture. I love being Italian more than being American. I've come to love scopa as my favorite card game, and this app is great for anyone: Italian or not. Mille grazie! È una partita bellissima!

This is by far my favorite game on my iPhone. It is engaging and never gets old. I can play anytime, anywhere when I need to pass the time. It's as good as real Italian cards. Haven't used the wi-fi feature yet, but will this summer when my son comes home from college, he loves this app too. Highly recommended, you'll get more than your money's worth of entertainment.

Fun for hours on end, awesome user interface and features!

There are several Briscola games for iPhone. Perhaps Scopa is harder to program, because its rule is more complex than Briscola. But I prefer to play Scopa. This game is nice overall. But the double-tap change of backgrounds is very annoying. Whenever I tap twice accidentally, the background changes to ridiculous sky or space pictures. BACKGROUNDS SHOULD BE CHANGED IN THE OPTIONS MENU! The overall quality of this game is not so good. Of course, the classic card game of Scopa is great. That's why, I believe, many people think this iPhone game is great as well. But it is not. Consider numerous Poker and Solitaire games for iPhone: many of them has much a better quality than this game. And even the Hispanic card games for iphone, Briscas and Truco, have a better quality than this.

I was doing a search for a different game when I found iScopa. What a great find this game was. I looked up the rules on the inet and it seemed like it might be fun. As it turned out I killed the rest of the day playing it. The more you play the more fun it becomes. I have already ordered some real Scopa cards off the inet so I can teach friends and play with four players. 's 

I started playing this game on my friend's iPhone. Fell in love with it! Just decided to buy it with this update that offered wi-fi. Two issues- 1 - I hate the way the cards now highlight to give me hints. One of my big accomplishments as a new player was when I no longer made the mistake of trying to toss a card, when actually I could take cards with it. These highlighted hints take all the interest out of learning what to play and how. 2 - my friend's phone keeps freezing/crashing/tanking. Call it what you will. Be great when this stops happening! Bummer that nearly every game goes unfinished. Also, when that happens, my only option (when he disconnects) is to continue. Maybe "try to reconnect with player" might be nice. Anyway - none of this should be seen as negative - just letting you know how it's percieved on this end. PS- how did you manage to get the computer to play this game with the skill and dexterity of generations of cheating Sicilian Grandmothers? Good show!

I've played scopa for about 3 years now I found the game on a computer game as a side portion of the game. This App is excellent!! With each update it continues to out do itself! If your looking for a fun card game this I a must have!!

I was born in Sicily, I have played scopa since I was a little boy. My father taught me this game and we would pass the time playing with the Sicilian deck of cards. Not only is this game well done and lots of fun, but it also brings back fond memories of my family and childhood. Grazie

I have to say that this game is addictive! I love the speed, sounds and graphic (great collections of card choices). I find myself playing this game for hours and my only negative thing about the game is that some of the cards are hard to decipher/translate. I'm not able to play all of the regional cards because I am unable to recognize what they are and their value. A translation or instructions would have greatly been appreciated.

As an aficionado of traditional card games, this implementation of Scopa is hot! Card art is exact to the real decks and the play is fun and challenging.

it was great. but when the ai discards it shouldn't put cards on top of eachother. also it was too expensive.

This game is worth it! I can't wait until briscola comes out and the regional sets! Best 4 bucks spent ever!

Love this game! We First learned to play this game in Italy. Now it's on the iPhone! Must have!!!!!!!

I was waiting for an iPhone version of this game! It is very well done, this game also respects all the original rules. The interface is very intuitive; it let you easily understand how to play, even if you don't know exactly all the rules. I really appreciated that the author used Neapolitan card's deck (I'm from that city, so I grew up playing Scopa using the same kind of cards.. ;-)). Cosmetically talking I have nothing to say, very nice also the (virtual) "piece of paper" where the score is reported... ;-) In my opinion, two things should be implemeted in a future build. the first regards the numbers indicating the score during the game; they are almost unreadable, the fonts used are two small. The second one is the possibility to know, during the game, how many "Scopa" each player has; at monent, this is impossible to know. Thank you! :)

Thank you for this game. Brings me back to when my dad, grandfather and uncles all used to get together during the holidays and laugh, complain, and yell at each other while the wives used to try and calm them down. Great game play overall and I highly recomend. Suggestions: Add in game playing instructions Add in running score during game play
